About MISRA and general questions
Due to changes in data protection legislation we have decided to close the MISRA NEWS mailing list. We recommend subscribing to the RSS feed on the "News" page instead to keep up to date with MISRA's activities.
Updates to MISRA's activities will be published through this website under the "News" section. You can subscribe to the RSS feed to notifed of new content. Please note that the MISRA news mailing list has now been closed due to pending changes in data protection legislation.

We welcome active participants in our working groups who are prepared to contribute to the technical work of these groups. From time to time we ask for external reviewers to comment on drafts of our documents. Please contact us if you are interested in either of these.
The autocode activity released its first documents in November 2007 with subsequent documents released in May 2009. MISRA C++ was released in June 2008. MISRA C3 activities have just commenced, and the aim is to publish a new version in approximately 2011. Check this website regularly for announcements on publication dates.

MIRA is a member of MISRA and provides the project management and administrative functions. MIRA and MISRA are not the same organization.
MISRA, The Motor Industry Software Reliability Association, is a collaboration between vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers and engineering consultancies which seeks to promote best practice in developing safety-related electronic systems in road vehicles.
